February 2010:
27 Struisbaai “5 Spesie” Rock and Surf Angling Competition beginners and experienced anglers are invited to the biggest professionally organised fishing competitions in the Western Cape. The 5 species that will be targeting are Kabeljou, Steenbras, Belman, Musselcracker and Blacktail. The 2010 competition will be the 4th held with R50 000 worth of prizes and lucky draws

  Lighthouse to Lighthouse Mountain Bike Enduro (Gansbaai)

A scenic, but extreme event at the Southern Most tip of Africa where the start times are determined by the tide. From Dangerpoit to L'Agulhas. The route tries to follow the trail the old wagons used almost a century ago to supply paraffin to the lighthouses.

Absa Cape Epic Mountain Bike



Daily stages are typically between 80 and 140km. Much of the route is on private land and only opened to mountain bikers once a year for the Cape Epic. Combination of single track, rugged jeep tracks and fast flowing gravel roads and as little tarred road as possible.
