Our coastline offers a myriad of daytime activities and is a place to recharge batteries and enjoy the star filled African nightskies (street lights & tarred roads can only be found in Kleinmond), the ideal retreat for early nights and early fishing mornings. This is a place where you might want to have a party only to find all the fresh air makes it a bit hard to stay awake at night...fear not if you are a night owl though, each of the villages have one or more pubs on offer and there are various good restaurants to choose from..Kleinmond's Harbour Road is a shop-filled street with an open market feel with various eateries including a nightclub.
A requests from the locals: Please respect the star filled nights & sun filled days and keep those noise levels down - you will see more animals that way!
Be on the look-out for these little faeries around Summer. They are easily spotted around the mountain slopes of Betty's Bay. The Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens host anual Firefly night walks during November.
There are no street lights in the towns of Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay or RooiEls.
This naturally alows for some of the most expansive star filled vistas imaginabe. If you are curious to learn more about our nigh skies, join the Kleinmond Astronomy group.
